Jana Marcus

Jana Marcus has been creating award-winning documentary photography for over 20 years. She is a professional photographer in the California Bay Area focusing on the documentary, editorial and performing arts genres. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and extensively published in newspapers and magazines.
Jana has received many prestigious awards over the years, including the UC Berkeley Center for Photography’s International Photojournalism Award for her series After Midnight: Youth Subcultures of New York City, Best photos of the year in 2004 and 2005 by Photo District News of New York and she was named one of "50 Exceptional International Photographers" by Exposure of New York in 2012. Her latest book Transfigurations received the "Best LGBT Non-Fiction Book of 2012" by the Independent Publishers Book Awards.
Jana received her MFA from San Jose State University, a BA in Community Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and studied photography at The School Of Visual Arts in New York City. Jana’s first book, In The Shadow of the Vampire: Reflections From The World Of Anne Rice, was published by Thunder’s Mouth Press of New York. She is currently finishing her first non-fiction narrative book – with no photos – which will be published in 2017.
Jana has taught photography at San Jose State University and she frequently lectures on the subject of documentary photography.

Bari Lee

Bari Lee was a Theatre Arts/Dance Major at SJSU and has been involved in many productions, onstage, backstage as well as directing. She is currently directing Santa Cruz Follies for the 8th time.
Bari's love of photography began when she received her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of ten.
Since then, she has photographed theater, dance, fashion, nature, horses and anything else that inspires her.
Bari has been a company photographer for Spotlight Stage, Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre, Ballet San Jose, Silicon Valley Ballet and currently, for the New Ballet School Company. She is also one of the official photographers for FashionArt Santa Cruz.

Mehrban Jam

In real life Mehrban is an electronics engineer and researcher working more than 38 years both in Japan and Silicon Valley. In addition, he had been a part time faculty of Santa Clara University teaching graduate VLSI design courses for 8 years in the past.
However, Mehrban’s real love and passion is with photography since when as a 7 year old kid held his first camera. Mehrban made a darkroom when in junior high by building a rudimentary photo enlarger using broken camera parts and mixing his own chemicals. After shooting the Valle Monte fashion show in 2011 he was hooked to fashion and has concentrated mostly his photography efforts on fashion photography as an enjoyable activity.
